C3 selective hydrogenation catalyst
At present, C3 fraction mainly comes from units that use diesel, naphtha, or light hydrocarbons as raw materials for cracking, units that produce propylene from methanol as raw material (MTP), propane dehydrogenation units, and relevant units in refineries. The C3 fraction produced by the refinery unit basically does not contain acetylene and propylene diene (MAPD), while the C3 fractions produced by other units all contain acetylene and propylene diene (MAPD), with a maximum content of 4-6 mol% MAPD. Chemical grade propylene requires a MAPD ≤ 15ppm, so it must be treated to remove MAPD.
Catalytic selective hydrogenation is an effective method for removing propylene and propylene diene (MAPD) from C3. Under the action of a catalyst, through the hydrogenation of H2 with propylene and propylene diene to produce propylene, the ratio of propylene and propylene diene can be reduced to ≤ 15ppm, and the yield of propylene can also be increased.
This catalyst is suitable for the above process.
